It is just a little...Thank you for the information. It is just a little more for me in my research of my connection to the Malinali. Hernan Cortes was my 10th great-grandfather and it is fascinating how two cultures encountered each other and because of the actions of the Mexicas, Malinali helped Cortes. Her people were paying tribute to the Mexicas and we know how it ended for them, a conquered empire and the creation of a new nation from Spanish and Mesoamerican people. Malinali is a victim of false accusations by many that would not be here now. Nothing would had stopped Cortes and his soldiers because he had helped from other tribes that wanted to get rid of the Mexicas that had forced them to pay tribute in slaves and resources, such as the Totonoc and Tlaxcalan. For me, it is a double edge-sword, since I am also connected to the Mexica Empire due to Cortes also having a child with Princess Tecuichpo, (Isabela de Moctezuma) the daughter of Tlaltecatzin Moctezuma. Cortes and she had a daughter. One of her descendants migrated to Puerto Rico, making me a descendant of the Mexica Emperors. Small world, but very fascinating.Anduneghttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12430146317995671872noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-322944348679265069.post-60656673105126242032015-09-19T11:54:27.155-07:002015-09-19T11:54:27.155-07:00Here's to infinity and to healing the past to ...Here's to infinity and to healing the past to create a brighter future!<br />8 8 8 8 8 8 8 8 8 8 8 8 8 8 8 8 8 8 8 8 8 8 8 8 8 8 8 8 8 8 8 8 8 Christina Fajardohttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07472894565425599820noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-322944348679265069.post-92070373755072176782015-09-19T11:36:22.606-07:002015-09-19T11:36:22.606-07:00YEAH...Digging a little deeper in the mine...Findi...YEAH...Digging a little deeper in the mine...Finding some really great nuggets.
